HTC One (M8)

With so many options out there when it comes to Smartphones, it seems each one has one outstanding feature that sets it apart from the rest.  I found the HTC One (M8) had several different features that makes this phone stand in it’s own category.  The first thing I noticed right away was the two speaker on the front of the phone.  I know a lot of people don’t use the speakers on their phones, however I do!  I immediately opened YouTube to check out a video and hear the sound.  I was very impressed with the sound from these little speakers.  I’ve also said I have been a long time iPhone user, so switching my apps over to an Android phone would be a pain.  In reality, the HTC Sync Manager analyzed my iPhone backup and made the transition to this phone easier than I could have imagined.  I simply plugged in the supplied USB, loaded sync manager and before I knew it, my music, pictures and apps were on the HTC One.  I want to point out that the HTC One (M8) is also available as a windows phone.

Another cool feature of the HTC One (M8) is the ability to operate both cameras at once.  So if you are shooting a video with the back camera, you can add the front camera as well so you can commentate or offer a video review easily.  If you are using the camera for pictures, using UFocus, you can actually edit the picture to change the focal point of a picture you have already taken.  There are actually three cameras on this phone.  The third camera basically scans and feeds information to the functioning rear camera.  It’s this secondary camera that allows you to get so many cool features out of the primary camera.

If you chose an HTC Smartphone, in addition to a high quality phone with a bunch of cool features, you get HTC Advantage for free!  HTC Advantage offers free cracked screen replacement for the first 6 months, extra google drive storage, Android upgrades as well as HTC support when you need it.  Of course with any plan like this, it doesn’t cover abuse by the owner, however that just makes sense.

For those of you who are looking for technical specs, here are a few of the important ones.  The HTC One (M8) has a 5 inch full 1080p display.  It’s lightning fast with a Quallcomm Snapdragon 801, quad-core processor.  It’s available storage based on model is 16gb or 32gb with a microsd expansion slot giving you an additional 128gb of optional storage.

For many users of this phone the camera will be the best function, for others the audio will be the best and for some, all the cool apps and quickness will draw them to this phone.  Find out what is the best for you by checking out the HTC One (M8) online at http://www.htc.com/us/smartphones/htc-one-m8/
